About Mr. Ardeshir Bonshahi

Manchester Hip and Knee Replacement Surgeon
Mr Bonshahi obtained fellowships of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and of Glasgow in 2001. He then completed Higher Surgical training in Orthopaedics in Manchester and underwent intensive sub-specialist training in hip and knee replacements and revision surgery at Wrightington Hospital. He regularly visits internationally recognised centres of hip and knee surgery and national and international conferences to keep abreast of the latest advances in hip surgery.Mr Bonshahi has a strong research background and is heavily involved in Orthopaedic education. He has authored several papers in respected Orthopaedic journals, contributed chapters to Orthopaedic text books and has lectured at national and international Orthopaedic meetings. He teaches on the MCh Orthopaedics Course at Wrightington Hospital and the MSc Orthopaedics Course at Salford University.He is a Fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association, and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Mr Bonshahi’s routine clinical practice is focussed on arthroplasty (total hip and knee replacements, hip arthroscopy, unicompartmental knee replacements, complex primary and revision hip and knee replacements) and sports medicine (arthroscopic knee procedures, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and hip arthroscopy).
